1. The Getaway Experience - A chance to unwind and recharge

Escape to the mountains where busy schedules and traffic jams will seem like a distant memory, embrace the beauty and charm of the South County Down coast where a warm welcome awaits you from the Hall family.

Upon arrival a member of the family will show you directly to your room. Then when you’re ready you can pop down to the reception to check in no hassle or stress.

Beamed ceilings, squashy chairs, thick carpets, soft lighting and a crackling log fire are just some of the elements which make the drawing room a good choice for a relaxing pre dinner drink. A candle lit dinner is served between 7pm and 9pm in our award winning restaurant where our chef Jonathan Hall will delight your palate with his extensive use of good ingredients and local produce.

You then have the choice of retiring for the evening, if so we can provide you with a DVD player and wide range of DVD’s, or maybe a night cap in front of the fire where disturbance will be limited to the clink of glasses and the gentle hum of conversation from people who have enjoyed relaxing or exploring the Mourne Mountains.

A good hearty breakfast whether this is a traditional fry or something a little healthier, then its time to return refreshed and rejuvenated ready to face the world.

1 Night Dinner Bed & Breakfast £79pps

2. The Mourne Escape - Steeped in Myths History & Legend

Escape to the heathery hills and rugged mountains which inspired C. S. Lewis to write The Chronicles of Narnia.

A warm welcome always waits you from the Hall family.

Enjoying the gastronomic delights of the kitchen would be our recommendation for your first evening before relaxing in front of one of our many open fires, perhaps with one of the Tales of Narnia from our library. Awaken bright eyed and bushy tailed ready for a day exploring the area but not before a good hearty breakfast whether this is a traditional fry or something a little healthier.

Situated on the lower south facing slopes of the Mournes you can just walk out our drive and start your day hiking or discuss with the staff your route for the day (each one has a favourite). If a gentle stroll is more your thing why not wander along the 7 miles of sandy beach in Newcastle or visit one of the many Castles, Forest Parks, Nature Reserves, National Trust Properties and Gardens, or just take a drive through some of the most scenic landscape in the world. Whatever your choice, don’t forget to pick up your complimentary map and packed lunch before you go.

Return ready for a hot bath or cool drink. Don’t worry about your wet boots or clothes with a 12 hr laundry service we have the remedy. Then it’s your time to relax and discuss the day’s events over a leisurely dinner before another good night’s sleep then returning to the real world.

2 Nights Dinner Bed & Breakfast £159pps

3. The Glassdrumman Experience - Let us pamper you

With this experience may we suggest you arrive mid afternoon when you will be shown to your superior room each with a real fire, where a bottle of chilled champagne and a tray of tasty delights awaits you. Let a member of staff run a hot bath with aromatherapy oils while you start to unwind and relax.

Breakfast can be either in your room or at our one of a kind breakfast table whether this is a traditional fry or something a little healthier take time to read the morning papers and decide on the days activities.

We have joined forces with two local businesses to offer you the chance to go pony trekking in the Mournes and/or enjoy a deluxe seaweed bath for two, or, if all that seems to much like hard work we can provide you with a luxury lunch hamper and maps of the local area.

After a hard day relaxing why not return for afternoon tea served in the garden (weather permitting) or in the drawing room and library. Then perhaps after a snooze or relaxing bubble bath return once more to the restaurant to be amazed a second time with either the same dish or one of the many others available on our menu.

Have a final nightcap while watching the lingering flames in the fireplace and retire to bed knowing tomorrow will take you home rejuvenated and relaxed.
